Turkey Chicken Meatballs With Dried Herbs and Feta Cheese

When you’re in a crunch (or you just don’t want to spend all weekend meal prepping) these turkey chicken meatballs will make your week ahead easier and still help you reach your protein goals!

I love making these meatballs when ingredients on hand are dwindling and I don’t have a lot of time to meal prep, but I still want a healthy, protein-packed item that I can use for a variety of different dishes, or eat on it’s own! These are made with feta cheese and dried herbs, so you don’t need a whole lot in the fridge to throw together a quick and delicious tray of lean meatballs!

Turkey Chicken Meatballs With Dried Herbs and Feta Cheese

Ingredients

Units Scale

1 lb. lean ground turkey

1 lb. lean ground chicken

3/4 c feta cheese

1 egg

1 tbsp olive oil + more for drizzling

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp ground pepper

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp oregano OR Italian seasoning

1/4 c breadcrumbs


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F
  2. Add all ingredients to a large bowl and mix until fully combined
  3. Using a tablespoon or small ice cream scoop, scoop and shape even portions of the meatball mixture and place them on a parchment lined baking sheet apart just enough so they aren’t touching
  4. Once all of the meatballs are formed, drizzle them with olive oil and place them in the oven to bake for 20-30 minutes until cooked all the way through (the internal temperature should read above 160F)
  5. Once baked, remove the meatballs from the oven and allow them to cool before transferring them to a container
