When you’re in a crunch (or you just don’t want to spend all weekend meal prepping) these turkey chicken meatballs will make your week ahead easier and still help you reach your protein goals!

I love making these meatballs when ingredients on hand are dwindling and I don’t have a lot of time to meal prep, but I still want a healthy, protein-packed item that I can use for a variety of different dishes, or eat on it’s own! These are made with feta cheese and dried herbs, so you don’t need a whole lot in the fridge to throw together a quick and delicious tray of lean meatballs!

Turkey Chicken Meatballs With Dried Herbs and Feta Cheese
Ingredients
1 lb. lean ground turkey
1 lb. lean ground chicken
3/4 c feta cheese
1 egg
1 tbsp olive oil + more for drizzling
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground pepper
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp oregano OR Italian seasoning
1/4 c breadcrumbs
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350F
- Add all ingredients to a large bowl and mix until fully combined
- Using a tablespoon or small ice cream scoop, scoop and shape even portions of the meatball mixture and place them on a parchment lined baking sheet apart just enough so they aren’t touching
- Once all of the meatballs are formed, drizzle them with olive oil and place them in the oven to bake for 20-30 minutes until cooked all the way through (the internal temperature should read above 160F)
- Once baked, remove the meatballs from the oven and allow them to cool before transferring them to a container
